CARTHAGE, Mo. — The hallway of a Southwest Missouri school resembles the mythical Christmas town of Whoville.
Each year, teachers in one hallway of the Carthage Intermediate Center have a door decorating contest.
But this year, they decided to decorate more than just the doors.
Students in each of the classrooms pitched in.
4th grader Nova Myers has made each of the nearly one hundred snowflakes hanging from the ceiling by herself.
"And then you fold it in half and then you cut it again, and then you open it and then you tape it, and then you have to make six of those and then you staple them and it makes a snowflake," said Nova Myers, 4th grade student, Carthage Intermediate Center.
Myers says she learned the technique by watching it on the internet.
But the hallway isn't finished just yet.
Students will continue to add decorations until their last day of the semester.
