Heatwave takes a break with cool and comfortable temps
This weekend's forecast looks cool and comfortable, with temperatures in the low 80s and low rain chances, before warmer air returns by midweek and another heatwave is expected to return by the second week of August.

It’s hard to complain about this weekend’s forecast as we’re starting August on a great note. The intense heat and humidity we’ve endured over the past two weeks will finally be taking a much-needed summer break.
Today’s temperatures will top out in the low 80s. The morning will start off hazy and cloudy, but skies will gradually clear by the afternoon.
The weekend looks just as comfortable and cool. Highs may climb a degree or two, but nothing too noticeable.
Rain chances remain low over the next week. Monday brings a slight chance of a light shower, but overall, I’m not expecting any widespread rainfall in the near term.
Summer isn’t over; rather, we are just hitting pause for a few days. Warmer air from the West will begin to push back into the Ozarks by midweek. Enjoy the brief cooldown while it lasts, as another heatwave is expected to return by the second week of August.
