CAMDEN COUNTY, Mo. — A Henry County man has died after drowning in the Niangua River on Saturday, July 19.
According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol (MSHP) crash report, a 46-year-old Deepwater, Missouri man attempted to pull other swimmers to shore at the Niangua River in Camden County around 3:41 p.m. on Saturday.
MSHP says the man went under and never resurfaced.
The man was pronounced deceased at Lake Regional Hospital. The next of kin has been notified.
This is the second drowning for July and the fourth drowning for MSHP Troop F in 2025.
