We begin the work week with a chance for rain showers starting by mid-morning. Temperatures are also rising this week with no freezing temperatures for the next 7 days. Cloud cover will keep overnights mild and daytime highs subdued.
Today will be cloudy and mild with rain not developing until 10 AM or so. Afterwards, stray showers are possible through the afternoon becoming more widespread overnight tonight. The best zone for heavy rain will be along and south of Highway 60.
The rain will linger into Christmas Eve. The chance for widespread rain steadily decreases as the day goes on and we'll be dealing with stray showers Tuesday night. Christmas Day may begin with patchy drizzle and cloudy skies, but the rain should be put on pause this Christmas.
Our rain chances climb again after Christmas with several waves of rain coming through the weekend. All said and done, this week may result in 1-3" of rainfall for parts of the Ozarks.
