Olympia Clinches Share of Sangamo Softball Title With Victory Over PORTA
The Olympia Spartans defeated the PORTA Bluejays 8-1 on Thursday to clinch a share of the Sangamo softball conference title. Khloe Chenoweth had three extra base hits for Olympia and drove in four runs and Eva Ortiz added three more hits and two RBI. Gabby Frye pitched a complete game for the Spartans. Mack Miller drove in PORTA’s run with a sixth inning single. Olympia begins the final week of the regular season at home against Monticello Tuesday and the Bluejays host Hartsburg-Emden that same day.
