Our next heatwave is arriving
A heatwave is approaching with temperatures expected to reach near 100 degrees by the weekend, bringing with it heat index values of 100-105 degrees, and relief is not expected until the middle of next week.
The dial is slowly getting turned up. Temperatures today were still manageable, but it's only getting hotter from here as a heatwave is approaching.
The door for any rain chances will be closed for the rest of the week as wet weather moves out and the heat dome settles in place. Expect to see mostly sunny skies for Thursday, with temperatures climbing into the mid-90s.
Hot weather fully cements itself to finish out the week. Highs will skyrocket near 100 degrees by the weekend.

Relief won't arrive until we can shove the heat dome back into the Western portion of the United States. Expect cooler weather to arrive towards the middle of next week with additional opportunities for rain.
