ST. CHARLES, Mo. - A large portion of St. Charles is under a boil water advisory Tuesday morning after a water main break in the area.
The city of St. Charles shared on Twitter that they are currently working on a large water main break on Cole Boulevard.
Water customers north of Interstate 70 and south of Highway 370 are asked to boil their water before drinking until further notice due to low water pressure.
Showers, washing dishes, and other uses besides drinking are not a concern, according to the city.
The city of St. Charles will lift the precautionary advisory once results from water samples are received.
