Springfield crews put out electrical fire on State Street

SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (WWLP) - A fire was put out early Sunday morning on State Street in Springfield.
The Springfield Fire Department reported that crews were at 653 State Street at approximately 3:15 a.m. on Sunday working to put out a fire. The fire has since been extinguished and no injuries have been reported.
The Springfield Arson and Bomb Squad investigated the incident and determined that the cause of the fire was due to an electrical malfunction. 22News will provide updates as more information becomes available.
