Hidden Valley Resort in Eureka will be officially opening for the winter season this week.
EUREKA, Mo. - Hidden Valley Resort in Eureka will be officially opening for the winter season this week.
The resort that holds skiing, snowboarding, and snow tubing will open back up 3 p.m. Friday, Dec. 20. According to officials, this year marks the earliest opening and "best snowmaking conditions" in four years.
“Thanks to the incredible work of our snowmaking team and some help from Mother Nature, we’re thrilled to be opening ahead of schedule,” General Manager of Hidden Valley DJ Koch said in a release. “Last year, we opened in January, and being able to offer the experience of a lifetime during the holidays this season is truly special. We can’t wait to see everyone back on the slopes for an unforgettable winter.”
Those who join the celebration Friday have the chance to receive free hot chocolate and coffee, as well as participate in giveaways and a first chair banner break.
Six trails of snowy terrain will be open for skiers and snowboarders, and the goal is to add new trails throughout the season as snowmaking conditions allow.
This season, the resort will be hosting the Mountain Mardi Gras and Dew After Dark events.
