SPRINGFIELD, Mo. — Residents around Greene County are invited to learn how to create a beneficial habitat around their home at a Missouri Department of Conservation (MDC) virtual event on Friday, September 12.
According to an MDC news release, the department is holding a free virtual program titled "Native Plants: Planting for the Fall," led by staff from the Springfield Conservation Nature Center from 3:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. on September 12.
The event will inform the public about native plants and provide recommendations for yard and garden designs tailored to your residence.
The free event will be hosted by MDC Naturalist Jordanya Raos and is open to individuals of all ages. MDC says that registration is required to listen to the program.
The release says that interested visitors will be able to see information about the native plant sale from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturday, September 27.
