Springfield cannabis manufacturing facility has license revoked

JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. -- The Missouri Division of Cannabis Regulation (DCR) has stripped C & C Manufacturing in Springfield of its license after DCR says the facility committed numerous violations, such as using unregulated THC in its products.

DCR says C&C violated the state's cannabis regulations by transporting its marijuana products outside the state of Missouri, selling marijuana products that came from outside Missouri, using chemically modified cannabinoids in its marijuana products, improperly destroying its marijuana products and records, and more.

On Aug. 8, 2024, C & C Manufacturing, LLC, was the subject of a public recall of its marijuana products after DCR said C&C included THC from unregulated cannabis in its products, which is known as inversion, according to DCR.

A prior release did not note any reported adverse reactions to the products, but stated the products were not properly tested and are a potential threat to public safety.

According to a press release by the Missouri Department of Health and Senior Services, after C&C was issued a Notice of Pending Revocation on Jan. 17, 2025, they destroyed or removed all marijuana products and video records in their facility.

“The Department enforces its regulations to uphold the Missouri Constitution and ensure safe access to marijuana product at our licensed facilities," said DCR Director Amy Moore. "C&C’s use of unregulated THC to create marijuana products, numerous violations of rule, and destruction of product and records in direct violation of DCR orders demonstrates clear disregard for law at the expense of health and safety and has no place in Missouri’s regulated market."
