SPRINGFIELD, Mo. -- Maurice Winda, 48, was arrested by police on July 26, 2025, for allegedly assaulting and threatening a woman multiple times in December 2024.
Online court records state that Winda is charged with first-degree sodomy or attempted sodomy and three counts of second-degree domestic assault.

According to the probable cause statement, at the victim's residence on Dec. 30, 2024, Winda held a knife to the victim's head and ordered her to have sex with him, threatening to slit her throat if she hurt him.
The next day, Winda accused the victim of making sexual remarks to her male friend. Then, Winda began assaulting the victim by hitting her with a bat and choking her at least five times, court records state. He also stomped on her chest while in bed and held a knife to her throat and head, saying, "I'll put this in the top of your head," and threatening to "gut" her.
The victim told investigators Winda tried to make her ingest a meth shard, telling her, "she was going to 'take it', then die, and he would wrap her body up so it decomposes to the point that no one could tell how she died." The victim suffered multiple injuries from the assault, including several broken ribs and injuries to the spleen and liver.
Investigators interviewed Winda, who said there was no disturbance between them and that she was fine the last time he saw her. When asked about the accusations of beating her and telling her he would wrap her body up, investigators said Winda seemed defensive, and said she told law enforcement that because she knows he has a criminal history.
Court documents note Winda has been convicted or charged in multiple assaults. The most recent incident was from a death investigation in St. Francis County, Arkansas, in May 2021, where his ex-girlfriend Robin Allmon, who was reported missing for several days, was found dead and wrapped in a sheet in a home in Hughes.
Winda was not charged in Allmon's death, but he pleaded guilty to abuse of corpse and was placed under probation for 10 years, Arkansas court records state. The probable cause statement from SPD says the remains were too decomposed to determine the cause of death.
Winda will next appear in court for a hearing on August 18, 2025.
