The Summer House in Southwick celebrates 45 years with free ice cream

SOUTHWICK, Mass. (WWLP) - The Summer House in Southwick is celebrating its 45th year by offering free ice cream on Thursday.
In partnership with Comcast Business, The Summer House will be giving out a free kid-size ice cream to the first 150 customers beginning at noon. The family-owned restaurant is open all year round and offers burgers, hot dogs, sandwiches and more, including a wide variety of ice cream and soft serve.
Right now, they have limited-time flavors, pistachio with roasted pistachio nuts or the raspberry truffle that has a vanilla base with a raspberry puree rolling through, chocolate flakes and mini chocolate cups filled with raspberry.
The Summer House is located at 552 College Highway in Southwick and is open daily.
