Ulta in Hadley reports shoplifting, NY woman arrested for grand larceny warrant in Florida

HADLEY, Mass. (WWLP) - The Hadley Police were called for a report of an alleged shoplifting incident at Ulta Beauty resulted in the arrest of a woman wanted for grand larceny in Florida.
In a news release from the Hadley Police Department, at around 6 p.m. on Wednesday, officers were called to investigate a reported theft at Ulta Beauty in the Mountain Farms Mall. The caller stated that the suspects were leaving the store and told dispatchers that they went to the Paper Store and then into Old Navy.
Upon arrival, officers found the suspects in Old Navy and detained them. During the investigation, it was revealed that 30-year-old Jessirith Serque-Miranda of Queens, New York, was wanted in Florida for grand larceny with an authorized extradition. The sheriff's office in Osceola County, Florida, confirmed.
Serque-Miranda was arrested and charged with fugitive from justice, and a felony for possession of a theft detection deactivator. The other suspect will be issued a summons at a later date.
