BOLIVAR, Mo. — Two teens from Bolivar were injured in a single-vehicle wreck Saturday, Aug. 9.
According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol (MSHP) crash report, a 16-year-old boy was northbound in a 1996 Dodge Ram on Highway 123 with a 17-year-old female passenger.
The wreck occurred around three miles south of Fair Play at 8:45 a.m. when the Dodge traveled off the right side of the roadway and struck a tree, per the report.
Both teens suffered serious injuries.
The boy, who the report says was not wearing a seat belt, was transported by ambulance to Mercy Hospital in Springfield.
The girl, who was wearing a seat belt, was flown by medevac to Mercy Hospital.
The Dodge was totaled and towed from the scene.
