Cassville crash leaves man seriously injured

BARRY COUNTY, Mo. — A single-vehicle crash in Barry County has left a man with serious injuries on Sunday, August 10.

According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol (MSHP) crash report, a 24-year-old Cassville man was seriously injured after a crash around 9:30 a.m. on Farm Road 2165, two miles west of Cassville, on Sunday.

MSHP says the man was driving a 1996 Ford Explorer east when he traveled off the right side of the road. The vehicle struck a tree and overturned.

The report states the driver was without a seatbelt at the time of the crash.

The man was transported by air medical to Mercy Hospital in Springfield.

The SUV was reported to be totaled and was towed from the scene.
