LAWRENCE COUNTY, Mo. — A Lawrence County man has been injured following a crash on Saturday, August 9.
According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol (MSHP) crash report, a 23-year-old Monett man has been seriously injured following a crash around 10:25 p.m. on State Highway H, at the northern city limits of Monett.
MSHP says the man was driving a 2024 Suzuki GSX-8R south when he tried to flee from a traffic stop. The man traveled at a high rate of speed on the right side of the road and overturned.
The man was transported to Cox Monett Hospital in an ambulance for his serious injuries.
The Suzsuki sport bike sustained extensive damage and was towed from the scene.
