OFT: Dream Valley's Signature Hole #1

BUFFALO, Mo--And speaking of golf, Ozarks First's Chris Pinson continues his summer golf series Ozarks First Tee.

Tonight he takes a look at one of the more beautiful courses in the Ozarks dream valley.

And its signature hole, number one.

CHRIS PINSON: "Hey there! And welcome to episode 4 of Ozarks First Tee. Today, we are here to start our second part of our summer series called "Signature Holes." And I'm here in Buffalo at one of my favorite courses, Dream Valley. And today, I'm gonna be joined by the owner and manager, Mrs. Marcie Knight. So Marcie, I've been here a million times, but maybe some folks haven't, what is so special about number one here?

MARCIE KNIGHT: "So, number one is definitely one of our signature holes. It's a par-4, 280 yards from the tips. Kinda risk-reward type of shot. The hole has trees to your left and beautiful scenery all around. It's meant to boost confidence in your round by providing an easy scoring opportunity, no matter how you play it. From the blues, the pond is about 190 yards, so if you want to lay up, you can do that shot. Or, if you want to carry the pond, it's about 220 to carry. If you want to lay up, it'll leave you with a short iron to the green for a good chance to make birdie. If you're a big hitter and you choose to drive the green, that'll give you a chance to make eagle. We really hope you enjoy this hole and the other 17 holes we have at Dream Valley Golf Course."

PINSON: "Marcie, what a great hole this is. You're right! Big risk over the water, but big reward maybe to start out with an eagle to begin your round."

KNIGHT: "Yes, absolutely! No matter how you play it, it offers some great challenges and it's a good start to your round."

PINSON: "As are the other 17 holes, right?"

KNIGHT: "Yes!"
