Willard man pleads guilty to statutory rape of child
Nathaniel Moentenich pleaded guilty to statutory sodomy and statutory rape and will be sentenced in October, with a possible outcome of up to 18 years in prison.
SPRINGFIELD, Mo. – A Willard man charged with sexual assaults on a child has pleaded guilty to statutory sodomy and statutory rape and will be sentenced in October.
Online court records indicate Nathaniel Moentenich entered the pleas on July 30, 2025, under an agreement with prosecutors that could result in sentences totaling up to 18 years in prison. Probation is also a possible outcome, according to records.
Moentenich, 29, was accused of having non-consensual sex with a victim who was less than 12 years old on at least two separate occasions; once between March 18, 2019, and March 18, 2020, and another time between March 18, 2021, and March 18, 2023.
Sentencing is set for Oct. 16, 2025. Moentenich was ordered to report to probation and parole officers.
