BRANSON, Mo. — City workers held an open house at the Convention Center today for residents to discuss Branson's Comprehensive Plan.
Strategic initiatives coordinator Mark Colussy says the plan will function as an outline for the next ten to twenty years, guiding city decisions on infrastructure, economic development and tourism.
Residents were invited today to pitch their own ideas about what should be in the plan.
"This is truly an opportunity where you can build something from the bottom up," said Colussy. "We can really hear the voices of everybody in the community."
Members of the Taney County Health Department were among the people there. Community Relations Specialist Tatum O'Dell said they were there to discuss affordable housing and transportation.
"The fact that they're asking residents for feedback from residents is really special because that is a great way to make sure that everyone has a say," said O'Dell.
Comprehensive Plan staff members say they plan to hold future public meetings this fall.
