UPDATE 8/1/25: The Missouri State Highway Patrol says the driver of the pickup truck, now identified as Robbie Acton, 44, of Carrollton, is facing charges of DWI death of another, leaving the scene of a crash, driving revoked and failing to stay on his side of the road.

BENTON COUNTY, Mo. -- One person was killed and two others were injured, including an 11-year-old child, after a multi-vehicle crash Wednesday night.

The crash report from the Missouri State Highway Patrol states that a 2015 Ford F-450 pickup truck was northbound on Route H south of Black Oak Church Road when it crossed the center of the road and struck a southbound 2013 Ford Edge SUV at around 7:25 p.m. The impact caused both vehicles to travel off the left side of the road.

The driver of the Ford Edge, a 44-year-old woman from Lincoln, Missouri, was pronounced dead at the scene, and an 11-year-old girl in the car suffered minor injuries. The Ford F-450 driver also recieved minor injuries in the crash.

Both the girl and the Ford F-450 driver were taken to Bothwell Regional Health Center for treatment.

This is the 44th fatality in MSHP Troop A in 2025.
