TANEY COUNTY, Mo. — Drivers got a first look at the work planned in 2026 for a stretch of road on Route 76.
MoDOT says they're working to repair an embankment on the west side of Route 76, between the Branson Boulevard Roundabout and Lake Shore Drive in Hollister.
Nearly 15,000 drivers use the roadway, but MoDOT says the work will shut down the road for up to 120 days.
Crews will also replace nearly 1,200 feet of roadway base, and install a concrete ditch on the east side of the route.
Due to the work, drivers will have to use other routes, including Coon Creek Road and Taney County Route BB.
The $7.3 million project will break ground next Spring and is expected to be done in Summer 2026.
