Barry County man charged with sexual misconduct with minor

BARRY COUNTY, Mo. — A Barry County man was arrested on Thursday, Aug. 7, following an interview made with law enforcement.

According to online court dockets, Nathan Easley, born 1999, of Cassville, has been charged with four counts of sexual misconduct involving a child under 15.

The probable cause statement says that the Barry County Sheriff's Office responded to a request to assist the Missouri Department of Social Services Children's Division.

Law enforcement began an investigation and recovered a note that Easley had written confessing to sexual misconduct with the victim.

Officials interviewed the victim, who said that Easley had exposed himself after they had woken up from sleeping. The victim reported that Easley had done this in four different incidents and that it had made them uncomfortable.

Easley is currently in Barry County Jail with a $100,000 bond. He is currently awaiting a bond appearance hearing on Aug. 15, 2025.
