SPRINGFIELD, Mo. -- A man has been sentenced for his role in a double murder case in Springfield in February 2024.

Izaiah Crabb, 19, admitted to first-degree attempted robbery in a plea agreement on Monday, August 4, and was sentenced to 10 years in state prison. Two counts of second-degree murder and one count of armed criminal action charges were dismissed in the plea deal.
Both Crabb and Tarrin Dicks, 20, were accused in the deaths of Trevin Dicks, 21, and Reggie Carey, 19, on Erie Street in February 2024. Police at the time believed that the shooting happened because of an ongoing dispute.
In May, Dicks entered an Alford Plea to two counts of second-degree murder. In an Alford Plea, the defendant does not admit guilt, but admits that evidence would likely result in a conviction. She is set to be sentenced on August 11.
