BOLIVAR, Mo. — Citizens Memorial Hospital (CMH) is hosting a special exhibit that will showcase the ION Robotic Bronchoscopy System in Bolivar on Thursday, August 7.

According to a CMH press release, attendees will be able to see the exhibit from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. in the clinic's parking lot on 1165 N. Butterfield Road in Bolivar.
CMH says visitors will be able to see the 18-wheeler Intuitive's Thoracic Oncology Mobile Experience (TOME) truck that travels around the country educating local citizens about lung cancer screening and treatment.
The high-tech truck showcases how robotic bronchoscopy is advancing the detection and diagnosis of lung cancer for people around the world.
The event will include presentations by Jason Bailey, D.O., board-certified pulmonologist of CMH, on how the ION system improves early diagnosis of lung cancer through precision and minimally invasive techniques.
“Our goal is to bring cutting-edge technology to our patients in southwest Missouri,” Dr. Bailey said in the release. “The ION system allows us to reach small, hard-to-access nodules in the lungs earlier and more accurately, which is critical in the fight against lung cancer.”
The special exhibit is free and open to the public as a come-and-go event on Thursday.
