BRANSON, Mo. — Residents are welcome to join a three-day training to become part of the Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) in September.
According to a Branson Fire Rescue social media post, the department is hosting a three-day training for new volunteers who would like to join or rejoin the program in Branson.
The CERT program will be held on these days in September:
- Sept. 5: 6 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.
- Sept. 6: 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
- Sept. 20: 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
The Branson Fire Rescue is teaching volunteers topics including disaster preparedness, fire safety, basic first aid and other lifesaving topics.
After the training is completed, residents will be certified as a CERT member to help the community in emergencies.
