All damaged sirens in Springfield, MO have been repaired and are now operational, with the most recent monthly siren test confirming their functionality.

SPRINGFIELD, Mo. -- All the sirens that recieved damage from the severe wind storms on June 29 are back to being fully operational, according to a press release from the Springfield-Greene County Office of Emergency Management (OEM).
The sirens were tested during the regularly scheduled monthly siren test on Wednesday, July 9, at 10 a.m., and the test confirmed that all sirens are now functional.
OEM thanks Springfield Public Works for their diligence and for helping them get the sirens back online. They are also reminding residents that the warning sirens are designed for people who are outdoors during a storm and should be the sole source of warning.
