CAMDENTON, Mo. — A home in Camdenton has been lost following a fire on Wednesday, July 30.
According to a Mid-County Fire Protection District (MCFPD) social media post, the department responded to a residential structure fire around 1:41 p.m. on the 200 block of Blair Street in Camdenton.
MCFPD says Engine 912 arrived four minutes after the call and found a single-story residence under fire. The firefighters brought the fire under control within 15 minutes with the engine's mounted deck gun to get water on the home.
The residents of the home were able to leave their home with their pets before the arrival of emergency services and did not need any medical assistance. The home and contents were a total loss.
The post says that multiple firefighters were treated on scene following heat-related issues, but none were transported to the hospital.
The scene of the fire was cleared at 3:34 p.m., the post says.
The start of the fire is currently under investigation by the MCFPD Fire Marshal and the Missouri State Fire Marshal's Office.
The Osage Beach Fire Protection District, the Camden Ambulance, the Camdenton Police Department and Laclede Electric assisted the department on the scene.
